Frank Mustilli
Head Coach & Managing Director

Frank Mustilli

Active in New Jersey fencing since 1991, Frank founded NJFA — a 501(c)(3) — to teach fencing to people of all ages and abilities, and has led the club for over two decades. Skilled in all weapons, his teaching builds self-esteem, self-confidence, and enthusiasm, and he has developed champions across district, state, national, and world levels.

Alejandra Terán
Épée Coach

Alejandra Terán

A Mexican fencer who competed in women's épée at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.

Monica Aksamit

Monica Aksamit

An Olympic medalist and Penn State NCAA champion, Monica brings world-class sabre experience to NJFA's advanced and elite fencers. Born in New York and raised in Matawan, NJ, she began fencing at age nine.

George Bivins

George Bivins

A Montclair, NJ native who fenced NCAA Division I sabre at the University of Notre Dame, where he was a multi-time ACC Championship medalist. An A-rated sabreur and national medalist.

Julian Detering

An NCAA Division I foil fencer at NJIT and a USFCA All-Region honoree, Julian competed internationally on the German national circuit before bringing his foil expertise to NJFA.
